It is all I think about!
I have two big bruins on our property just waiting for me.  One is a big Cinnamon, and the other is jet black with a large white blaze.  They were still in the same areas two weeks ago.  Hopefully my dad and I will connect!

Just ticks me off I can't hunt my favorite spot until after Labor Day.  I used to love going into the NE corner of the state in Aug and hunting.  Looking forward to the opening though!!

Can't wait!  I've seen 7 bear in the lowland of my secret spot already this year and with all this sunshine, hopefully they will be moving up into the higher country.  There is one little blueberry patch up there that tends to get ripe early, hopefully it will have some berries for bear to feed on.

:whoo: I'm already excited and can't wait for season to open.  That is one animal I would really like to put a tag on this year.

That REALLY bummed me out when they changed the season, I had a spot that was AWESOME, saw 4 bears in one patch at one time, all adults! Now by Sept 1st the berries are gone  :cryriver:

I'll wait for a cold front to move in and take a day off if we get one nice cooler day or two, usually happens once a year in the higher elevations.  Good luck everyone, take plenty of photos to share and when you get one share all the little details so we can all enjoy it.

I stumbled across two areas a little closer to home this year...
both are going to require a fair amount of hiking, but I'm getting pretty amped up.

I'm only interested in taking a bear with my bow, though...so it's going to take some work.
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.
