Don't fret about those big money guys blessed.  You can't buy a true trophy.  Theres plenty of big moose to go around.  Are you 49 too, is that where you fishing are asking about fishing?  Flyfishing or what?

Yes, about 5 years ago I had 2 hip replacements so I took up fly fishing. got wifey to do it too ( she was in her fishing boots when we got married in 82) and now every day we have free we go to a good lake or river. I live by the Kalama river but about 20 yars ago some dumb Biologest killed off the run of trout in it.  STB

Bayley lake used to be really good about that time of year.  I need to check the regs to see if still open or not.It was flyfishing only.   Its in the Pend Oreille game area.  You'll be hunting probably, but evening time with a big black leech is incredible.  It was one of the first lakes that had triploids in it and also a species of rainbow called Eagle something.  not really a species, but a genetic strain.  Anyhow, I have tailed fish in there over 30 inches in length, and for the record I don't exaggerate...much.
If there is any concelation, there are moose all around it too. : )

Its a pretty eutrophic lake with lots of scuds and leeches and crayfish and chironimids.  The fish eat well and you know what that means.  HAWGS a PLENTY

Spekaing of moose, I was fishing there in my float tube  and wasn't really watching and this cow moose swims by at about 5 feet.  Scared the living crap out of me.  Little bigger than the average muskrat.  She circled me, went to shore, eat some greens then got out and disappeared.   That was the second time that had happened to me.  WAY COOL!

Does this guy with all the money hunt early? Or same time? :bash:

You'll have two raffle tags out in the woods too. Although they are not likely to have the entourage the Gov tag guy will have. Their season is Sept 1 to Dec 31 too.

Ole huntnphool has a couple aces up his sleeve.

Yes I do, lets hope I dont draw a couple 8's to go along with them :yike:

ON another note, I have it from a great source that the Gov. tag guy really doesn't get too excited until the end of November. There are plenty of bulls in there so dont panic, plenty of eyes as well. I know a lot of elk hunters would get a kick out of helping out someone with a moose tag, hoping that if they ever draw the info would be given to them too.

The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

  I forgot about that,  I was thinking about when I ran in to Intruder last year while I was elk hunting.  He had the raffle tag.

As I recall you were no where to be seen once my moose hit the ground  :chuckle:
