Which .243 round

have had good luck with 55gr nosler b-tips for yotes pretty good round although dont plan on saving hides if you hit a bone. never shot a cat but i shoot the 95gr nosler b-tips for deer and bear and it puts em down really good.

Question for you on the shot placement for deer and bear. With deer and a good bullet I would think you could go double lung/heart/shoulder and be good. With bear do you focus on double lung with any concern about penetration?

i like the 223 rounds you can get at the military surplus stores, they are a good round that always fires and they dont do alot of damage, i know that aint alot of help since i dont know the grains, but when i was in the service we only had one type of 223 round and that is the one i am reffering to, hope that helps

 I use 40gr. Nosler Ballistick Tips for yotes in my AR, check your twist rate before going to these lighter grain bullets though.

 100gr. Noslers for the .243

I use mine in 25-06. 85 grain for yotes and 115 for deer. I think either would be good medicine for a cougar.

I have used both the 55bt's and the 95 bt's on coyotes.  The 95 gr. Noslers actually did very little damage to the pelt.  The tip must be just hard enough with the extra weight of the bullet, that it basically went straight through without blowing up the pelt.  Just don't hit those guts.
