I dont beleive you can use your dog legally when it comes to yote hunting.

Coyote may be hunted statewide, year-round. Coyotes may not be hunted with dogs. A small game or big game hunting license is required.

Not legal page 62 of the regs

I think hunting WITH dogs is different than using the dogs as bait...

get a rabbit or something instead

I think it was made illegal to stop the use of dogs as bait.

My question is, my two coyotes I have shot were from my boat while duck hunting and drifting down a river, my dog was in the boat, could I be cited if I did this now?

They have some very realistic looking stuffed dogs, maybe one of those suspended off a wire so it could move around?

I've wondered this sort of thing too, if I'm driving around in the woods with my dog in the truck can I still shoot the coyote I see or could I be cited for that as well?

Adam, I think you'd be OK as long as it stayed in the truck, same as I think I'd be OK if the dog stayed in the boat, but then again, in our state you often seem to be guilty until you can prove your innocence.   :bash:

when I shot my bull this year I called a few family members to come up and help and my grandfather brought his dog, I was a little worried because with my luck the game warden would drive by and see the bull and the dog and take it from me...
