i just got one last year. have only been out a hand full of times and have personally not had the "opportunity" to pull it; always running the boat. but the three guys i have had pull it have had a hard time. the rope seems to come out of the pulley and apparently it gets difficult at that point. i don't really know why, but like i say i haven't done it myself.

I have one mounted on my Wooldridge, it is the pin release model for a Columbia River E-Z Marine anchor.  Drops off very nicely and boat pulls the retriver real easy with it- needs modification of edge rollers to be better.  It is a bit of a snagger when it comes to pulling the anchor the final way it.  Have to reach down off the front of the boat to get it unless you do not mind breaking zip ties.  Mount it with three inch over hang of the boat, or less than exeperiance anchor pullers will knock the snot out of the front of your boat...    I have loosened the roller so it rolls super easy and it seems to work so much better already.  Believe it will be fine....  I do perfer the Miller Marine Anchor locker, but bought this one thinking it would be the same caliber of retreiver...  It isn't...  Might be the perfect set up for a drift boat and round can type anchor, but it is a bit troublesome compared to the other and my previous home made one on my Thunderjet.  The roller is small - 3inch wide, so adding external edge rollers will improve it greatly as mentioned above, which I will be doing on my next visit to Sportco....  It does hold the anchor perfectly while traveling and boating, tight and no rattles...  On the E-Z Marine anchor you will have to drill a hole through the solid bar stock for the pin to work right.  Robo made me a sturdy cable holder for the pin versus the crappy little thing that it came with.  I like to pull anchor alot during the day and move to other holes as some here know, so anything that is smooth and perfroms nicely, with regards to safety is ultimately the most important factor...  Check out Miller before buying Lee, unless you like it that much, I'll sell you mine and buy a Miller...

I have one on my Northwest jet 21'. I bought the 40lb anchor. it is HEAVY. I am going to buy the 26lb one and give that a try. pulling the anchor is fine as long as the boat is in line with the anchor rode. if not, it will jump the pully. pulling the last 5 feet is a biatch. should be easier with the lighter anchor. all in all, I like the Leelock anchor system, although I do not have any experience with any others. does look cool mounted on the boat though :chuckle:
