It seems like you would want to wear some safety glasses before you purposefully derail a bow string.

Thank you for posting this video.  My 10 year old gets his first bow at tax time, a Diamond Razors Edge.  He will be watching this video as soon as I get home

:yeah: Plus full body leather and a helmet. And how did that kid get picked to be the one to do that... Maybe lowest G.P.A. :dunno:

Good video...  "Don't draw your bow back without an arrow and your release"... so what about the thousands of us that shoot fingers still?  LOL  Good video all in all demonstarting the derailment and how not to let down..

I agree that lots of people still shoot with fingers, for anyone just starting out that is shooting with fingers, just don't grip your bow, once you begin drawing open up your hand and this will not happen. :twocents:
