Bought my first bow today! Mission Riot!
« on: January 06, 2012, 07:57:44 PM »
A big thanks to Craig at Fletch Setter Archery in Rainier for putting up with this newbie hanging around and asking questions today for a few hours.  I finally settled on the Mission Riot.  Since I am brand new to archery, I just bought everything I needed to get going.  Now I can't wait to get out and shoot.  Hopefully I can this weekend sometime.  I have always hunted modern, but am really excited to learn this archery thing.

Nice looking rig,  Congrats.     Bowhunting has been a lot tougher for me but oh so much more rewarding.  Have a great year shooting & a great 2012 season.  Mike

Nice looking setup man

I switched back to archery last year after a 12 year break. I wasn't able to connect on an elk this season but let me tell you, being in the thick timber cow calling at the herd bull less than 100 yards away bugling his brains out is an intense experience...well worth every penny you just invested!  Spend as much time as possible at the range during the off season and good luck to you in 2012!

"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

I got into archery for a lot of reasons. One of the plus's was that I thought it would be less expensive...OH how wrong I was....But, I like it a lot more than I ever liked modern rifle hunting. It would be a lot better it we had some decent hunting around here so I didnt have to go to the Colockum every year.
