Washington State Bowhunters
« on: January 13, 2012, 10:20:52 AM »
Does anyone know how to get a hold of the WSB? It looks like the website is down and its tough to find contact info. I saw on their facebook site that there is a position open for a board member and I am interested in trying to see what it would take to get on the board, or even join membership for that matter.

Thanks.

go to the "other site" and contact Pope(shawn)... he is their president.  I think they are actually selling memberships on ebay now....

If you are wanting to join a archery organization, you could also join the WSAA and become a member of the Hunting Committee!  Just PM me... Don't want to derail you joining the WSB either as we all work together (WSAA/TBW/WSB) to benefit hunters in this state.

WSSA is useless, it doesn't have a way to join on their Homepage....

You can print off the membership appplication off of the "downloads" tab on the top of the Home page then mail it in.

Heres the link.   http://washingtonarchery.org/

The WSB on the other hand doesnt seem to have an active website that I can find.

Well that is soon to change.  We have a newly designed web page, and we have discussed accepting paypal payments.  THat will happen soon.  Currently if you wish to be a member of both the NFAA and the WSAA you can join online with a CC via the NFAA website.  Good point and it is in the process!  In the meantime if you wish to be a member of the WSAA only, then you have to print out the form here  http://washingtonarchery.org/downloads-2/wsaa_memb_app_2007.pdf
and mail in the form with a check.

WSB changed our website address.  It's now www.wabowhunters.com instead of .org.  The site just got put up and we are looking to improve on the site.  You can join by application on one of our newsletters, via ebay, or at the upcoming sportsman show in Puyallup.  Functionality to sign up via the website is pending for technical reasons.  There are plenty of other ways to do it.  We look forward to meeting anyone interested in helping our cause.

If you can't meet us at the Sportsman show, we have an upcoming banquet at the Elks Club in Tacoma on Saturday March 24th.  The Elks club address is 1965 So. Union Avenue, 98411.

I know what the link is< that's how I know they don't have an online sign-up. You can print off the membership appplication off of the "downloads" tab on the top of the Home page then mail it in.

Alergic to mail... If they don't have an on-line sign up, I 'm sure going to be wondering what else they don't have...

I screwed that up, maybe this will be better...

Remember those things take $, they are non-profit. I'm sure they will come in time, I for one will be willing to "risk" $30 of my hard earned dollars to help an organization that fights for bowhunters rights even if their website is in the "infancy" stage. If you dont want to join b/c of the lack of technology on the website, etc than donating your time would be another way of giving back without having to dig into your pocket.

Good hunting to you!

A ~170 whitetail won last year.  Not sure I've heard of many entries yet this year...

I want to apologize to all and especially NWWABOWHNTR for my comment above. That is not how I intended for that post to come out. I was dissapointed that the WSAA didn't have an online registration. But I would never say or consider that the Organization is worthless. I am still in the process of joining. A good lesson learned on my part, read what you post befor you push the button. Again my apologies to all and anyone that took offense to my post.
