The last couple of days I've been taking out one of the old timers, a 1940 Husqvarna 12ga Hammer Double and having fun with the ducks. For having a 29 1/2" barrel choked .690 Right and .680 Left it shoots very well with 7/8 oz of ITX #4 and fiber wads in 2 1/2" shells. I think this old girl is going to see alot more time in the blind.

Earlier in the season I had out a 1920's Stevens 235 hammer double while alot heavier and massive feeling it work very well with the same load.
I'm liking this shot and it flat kills ducks haven't had a cripple in the eight birds I've shot with it. By handloading it, it is only a little more expensive than premium steel and way cheaper than Hevishot
