Yes they do, ever run over the pass (pick one) towing?

I have been flipping a coin over that or a four door Jeep, now I know the Jeep wouldn't even attempt the tow, but heard the FJ do rather well in that regard...  FJ's are differently beefer and of course get the Toyota reliability out of it..

I towed a 17' Alumaweld with my 2004 Rubicon all the time without any problems...they'll do it. But, I do agree that an FJ is better suited for it.

Nope...haven't pulled it over the pass yet. I don't want to bash any jeep guys out there. They have their place. However, for a grocery getting, recreational boat pulling, go hunt'n rig I'd take it hands down over a domestic for many reasons.

Two mildly built rigs, FJ and JK side by side...I don't think the jeep would outperform the FJ at all. I think they're pretty damn close and I've been loyal to jeeps for the last 15 years  :dunno: Dependability, comfort, and grocery getting...you are correct my friend, Toyota hands down

And I don't think either of them are a worth sh*t for towing across the pass. That's where the diesel boys come in...

That's one thing I really like about the insides of the FJ. They are plastic in the back and have no carpet. The seats are tough and can be wiped off. Makes throwing muddy boots, dead deer, wet dog, etc easy and painless.

My first car was an 84 Bronco full size, it had rubber floors that you could just spray out. Didn't care if it got dirty on the inside as it cleaned up easy.

I actually had this same exact delimma 2 years ago. Jeep lost early because I wanted to tow a boat. Toyota lasted and was neck and neck until I drove the fj and the xterra. I dig the way nissan set it up better. It's easier for my english mastiff to get in and hang out in the back. I really really wish my interior was spray and go though. If you have adults in the back, the FJ sucks! This was my first vehicle that I bought to fit my life and not me and I still think I made the right choice. I'm not bashing the FJ at all. I love the interior materials and it looks so cool (to me) on the outside.
