Sorry Feather stix guys.
« on: January 25, 2012, 09:48:48 PM »
Checking out their poles, at the Sportsmans show.  Way to busy talking with each other and turnning your backs to customers acted like snobs.  I'm going back to Lamiglas and Loomis.

For the price they are great!  They will work.......(i got one) but you might double your catch rate with a lami or loomis. :twocents:

Im pretty sure i was drooling the whole time i got to try out a lamiglass, I casted to the same spot i had been casting for the last hour and was really amazed at the diffrence i was feeling on the bottom!!

I think I have 8 or 9 Lamiglass rods, but my one and only Loomis gets used the most.  My next rod would either be a Loomis IMX or maybe build a Rainshadow XST.

Love my loomis rods. i have a couple lamis too theyre not too bad either although two have broke in the downrigger. best bang for the buck rod i think are griggs. great rods and really reasonable. prob my best jig rod. sportco used to carry them but i havent seen them there in awhile. they are an oregon based company too. if i were to buy a new rod tomorrow though, id have to try a fetha styx rod. ive checked em out and they are pretty nice. i could care less if a salesman wants to bs with me or not, i buy quality gear to go fishing not to listen to stories. :twocents:

A pole is an ugly stick, a rod is something of quality.  My favorite rod is my the one that my wife had built by Gary Loomis himself for me just before I went to Alaska.  Love Loomis quality!

Team Loomis all the way!  Lamiglas lost my buisness when they started making cheap POS rods in China  :twocents:
