Yeah, except with Peaches Ridge you'll be hunting with hundreds of other guys with general season tags looking for a spike or a cow. It used to be with that permit you'd have it all to yourself, since there was no general season. Well that changed a couple years ago. So you might want to consider that. I think somebody else mentioned that as well. I don't know about the hunting pressure in the other three, as I have never hunted those.
I would love to draw peaches ridge again. I drew it in 04 and shot a little rag horn opening morning. I was young then and had no self control I already had it set in my mind I was shooting the first elk that would let me. I also drew goose prairie in 09 shot a cow on the 3rd day only 11 yards away. I have no self control when it comes to elk and filling my freezer.
the unit you know like the back of you hand....or better.I hear and have known successful draws by hunters that ate tag soup; simply because the unit they drew, they did not know the drawn unit well enough to be successful.
I have 9 points for the archery draw this year and I feel like it is getting close? I haven't been applying for the blues either. but know some one who knows the area really well and lives rite there, might look into it a little.
