Jambos Sportfishing, Mike is the best and knows that place well. We have done this trip with him a couple of times.

as far as I know, none of the charters fish swiftsure anymore. most head out to bluedot or 72 square. swiftsure mainly puts out little halibut anymore. I haven't fished with jambo's but have heard good things. I fished with dave on the windsong twice and all was good. jambos boat is fast compared to most of the others.

found this in the classifieds on bloody decks. seems it is for salmon only. not sure if he is still chartering or not :dunno:

Washington Salmon Charter License
I have a Washington Salmon Charter License available for Lease for the 2012 season. Having this license opens up the opportunity to fish for any fish in any Navigable Fresh or Salt Waters in Washington State, including the lower Columbia River and Lake Washington. This license has 6 angler permits. Price for the season is $3,900 which includes renewal and transfer fees. More angler permits are available and can be added for an additional cost.

I called to see about availability, and they are booked for the 2012 season, and already have bookings lined up for the 2013 season.

He recomended Ms Magoo as another charter to go with, but they only have a Thursday open in 2012 and I need a weekend.  Looks like Canadian license for me if I want to go do it.

I might bite the bullet and do that tuna trip out of westport I have been wanting to do for so long instead...

Rob you could check out no bananas charters out of sooke he fishes swiftsure and  does well. If you book the boat for the day he would let you target multiple species(its been a few years since I fished with him). Give him a call he takes 4 at a time. Check him out at www.nobananas.ca his name is Trevor

He has a spare charter license. There is a fixed number of licenses in the state... some guys snatch them up and lease them out and use it as an investment or have hopes of someday getting another boat going. From what I understand Mike is not selling the license its just for lease, but he is still running the Malia Kai which is the best charter in washington in my opinion
