Needing a bow for heading down south!
« on: February 12, 2012, 04:22:27 PM »
I've finally decided to give in to my buddies suggestions and buy a compound bow. I prefer my Recurve for deer hunting and such but I want something better for small game and something that doesn't require weekly shooting to stay accurate(I signed up and am gonna be heading to Fort Sill). But I know nothing about what I should be looking for in a bow or what brands are best and all that. I don't plan on buying another bow after this one so I want it to be a good one. I prefer speed over heavy hitting. The biggest game i'll go after with it would be deer maybe. So i'm thinking around 50-55lb draw. Any suggestions on anything from brand to what kinda sight to get would be awesome!
Make every shot count cause ya might not get another.

So many options.   What's your budget look like are you after top of the line or a mid priced bow?

Shoot them all and find what you like the best...
I love my Hoyt Carbon Element  ....  have a Black Gold Rush site strong pins and not too expensive.
Also shot the Mathews.. was a close decision.
 No right answer...   have fun
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.
