I'll be down with my clan, we are staying at the Pacific Beach Conference Center and will have a few trailers in the RV park there, the ones with a few pop up blue canopies set up. Stop in for a beverage and a chat !!  :hello:

I have seen them at safeway, they were native harvested. Up around $15 for a pound if I remember correctly

Seem's like I've heard of Costco getting them sometimes but I don't know when and I think they're Alaska clams, huge!!!! I've seen some of those Alaska ones still in the shell. They get up to 7 or 8 inches and more!!! :yike:

Did well.  One good day of clamming in north of Oysterville.  Nearly 2 limits (me and the 5 year old daughter).

Sweet !! It's great to get them kids out there so you don't have to bend over so much !!

Only three of us braved the hurricane saturday and got limits then sunday 18 of us went and got all our limits, I was really suprised that we did so well on saturday with that monster surf  :yike: we were at Pacific Beach

Hope your bonfire wasn't the one the ambulance and rescue crews showed up to just after low tide.

The Quinaults sell them. In Aberdeen and Hoquiam you can get them at Swansons, not sure about Safeway or Top Food.  Swanson's usually has them for about 8 or 9 bucks a lb. if I remember right. I'll check them next time I'm there. I'm sure they must market them elsewhere too.

The ones from Alaska come from Poly Creek (the only certified commercial beach in Alaska), which is on the west side of Cook Inlet. Most of the crews that used dig there were from the Grays Harbor area. A gal from Ocean Shores used to run the crew there.
