New To Trapping

looking to get into trapping. I live in enumclaw and would like to know more about trapping..where is the best place to buy gear and little help on regs and legal traps. I have access to private land but can i trap on Champion/hancock land? any help would be great..

If you go to watrappers.com we have a link to the trapping regulations and it is pretty easy to see what is legal. Cage traps.
As for buying gear we have some links to some other trapper talk forums and they have some trapping supply dealers listed. Not much for dealers in Western WA but you can buy some cage traps at some hardware and feed supply stores.
I would advise you to read as much as you can on this forum and some of the other forums on our site. Ask questions too.
If you haven't thought about getting a license yet you will need to pass the Trapper Education class. We have a real good manual that will help you with some of your questions.
I don't know about Champion/Hancock land but generally speaking you need permission on any private land and most timber companies do allow trapping. You would have to ask them.
