Still packing
« on: March 01, 2012, 07:30:30 AM »
I have a few that haven't shed yet.  I have seen young bucks here in April still carring them.

A couple.  One set was lying side by side.  27-28 inch inside.  I posted pics in the shed hunting.  Got tired of arguing about the spread on them.

Yep....saw the pics, just wondered if any of the others showed up......no argument here.  I dont even bother saying what I see anymore, too many doubters.  WE that live in the N.E. know darn good and well what lurks in these woods.

Two of us watched one late one summer afternoon ( summer before last ) that we guessed 36 plus....easy.  During the modern season, his neighbors were on that same hill and were sat down resting, half asleep, and had a monster they thought to be a 4 ftr walk within 20 yards of them.....no one even moved, they were so shocked.  We dont buy a 4ftr by any means, but we believe they saw the buck we had watched.

I am one of the last few homes in S.E. Pend Oreille County.  My east property line is the Idaho border.  Very rare to see those monsters in the daylight.  I had a friend that was from Indiana call me one day when I was at work.  He said he was watching a buck in my field that would have netted 220.  He told me he had thought I was lying about the size of the bucks in this valley.
