I bit the bullet again
« on: March 08, 2012, 11:30:51 AM »
I spotted a Fantastic deal on a Brand New Canon 7D the other day. :) The camera has 305 photos taken with it and it's only 2 weeks old. :) The guy that bought it wanted to buy a new Canon 1D Mark III, but he settled for the 7D. Within a few days Canon announced the Pre-Order Sales of the Mark III, so he put the 7D up for immediate sale. Heck, he never even registered the warranty with Canon! :)

I snapped it up!  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: I will now have another amazing camera and my wife will be able to really learn photography with a camera identical to mine. :) It will also take away her excuse that "my shots aren't as good as yours because you have a better camera than I do!" ;) :) :D

Looks like I'll be putting my Canon 40D up for sale real soon. :) I kind of hate to see her go, but that will put some funds back into the "New Lens Kitty"!  :IBCOOL:

No, you are not wrong! A camera is only as good as the glass in front of it! I use all L series lenses, so I already have awesome glass. :) The step up from the 40D to the 7D is a remarkable one! More mega pixels, more creative controls, faster frames per second plus more focus point controls, plus the Higher ISO Noise control do make a Huge difference. :)

pjb,
I'll definitely give you first shot at it! :) Will you need a lens with it? If so, I have a 28-90 lens that isn't being used anymore; so I could do a package deal with you. :) Drop me a PM with a phone number and I can give you a call!

And congrats on your new find.
