I had a 300 WSM, sold it to my cousin and he loves it. I would have good groups at the range, but in the field I was missing and or wounding game. I think that I just wasn't used to such a light gun, and it didn't fit me that great. Went back to my Browning BAR in the 300 win mag, its a load to pack around the mountains, but I am consistant with it. The Tikka is a great gun, just wasn't a great gun for me.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
The only slight compaint I have is that the Tikka isn't available in short action. I'm sure that if Tikka offered different action lengths the price per unit would increase so it's probably a wash.
I had a Sako in .243 and traded it to my brother for a shotgun. That was a tackdriver. I am now looking to get a T3 stainless in .223 and am sure it will also shoot as well.

So even the micro's like 223?Quote from: WeatherBman on March 11, 2012, 09:10:25 PMI had a Sako in .243 and traded it to my brother for a shotgun. That was a tackdriver.
