Cascade Range Mountain Goats
«

I figured it was about time that I post these pics of some mountain goats. Dad and I were driving back to camp one day during the early archery season and spotted a couple goats off in the distance. When we stopped to glass, we ended up glassing up over 30 bedded and feeding together at about 600 yds. Dad and I stalked with our camera up to about 45-50 yards and just enjoyed the view. After about 30 minutes or so, they started to stand up out of their beds and that was our cue to exit without spooking them out of their spot. It was pretty awesome to see it that is for sure. I am no pro at shooting photos but I am just glad I always have a camera with me when we are hunting.

That is cool ! I was bowhunting at Lake Kachess last Sept & had one bed about 200 yards from me, watching him made the morning fly by. They are a cool animal to watch in the wild. Mike

Nice pics just looks like they are having some kind of slumber party or something.

Great photos, those goats sure do look sleepy. Must have just got done eating and playing.
