They probably applied for the deer/elk, which was undersubscribed, and didn't have any special permit apps.

My elk permit points has increased this morning. Looks like things are starting to happen. Looks like I will get the combo tag and get a refund for the elk portion, that was my choice if not drawn for the special elk permit.

For all of you that put in for the special permits you should be able to see if your points have been used or if you accumulated another point.

General.  Heading in with Montana Backcountry Outfitters.  Littlejohn from the site will be our guide.  I've never paid to hunt ever before so hopefully its worth it.

Rbros-  that would be awesome  (hopefully vortex can deliver by then),  if not i can take ol maggy.

We didn't draw our general elk combo so we didn't get our special permit either which is great because we were just trying to accumulate points.

Now mine says I was not successful for the Big Game Combo. I had 1 point and my points did not increase for the combo, they increased for everything else.
