I don't mean any offense by this but no matter how hard you feel you've worked or how much sweat you put into getting into a basin or far off drainage...there will likely be someone who will work harder.
Guess it depends on your definition of "harder". Finding other people's success photos and jacking their spots? Sure, you can be willing to hike further/faster to get there... but if you aren't willing to put in the time exploring basins and ridgelines to find the areas deer are accruing in the first place then you'll always be chasing someone else's tail.

Hirshey, I would consider that hunting smarter, not necassarily harder and I do agree with you. Great pictures all!

I'll break the mold and post a scenary picture. A really easy spot to poach a honey hole if you are so inclined, have at it...somewhere around 20-25 miles from the air strip  :chuckle:

Yep, thats my hunting partner.  9 Miles in by portaboat and boots.   Almost killed him, it almost killed me. Wheres the fun at shooting a moose close to the road.

Yep, I believe its on both our walls.  I have the pic taped to my monitor at work as well.   That trip had more memories than most I have done.

That one is eating well! I'm surprised I don't see more mosquito bites on that leg!  :chuckle:
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

The new pose is going to make a lot of back country (just off the road) animals a lots easier to post up  ;)

That buck was further from the road than most individuals are willing to walk in a day...

I'm still not posting any with distant scenery.  ;)
