That bull is definitely a trophy either way.  I say if you packed a big bull elk out four miles, it's "backcountry enough"  that's like a deer 16 miles into the hills.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Thanks man. It was a hard hike that's for sure. Hiked in at 5:30am, shot the bull at 12:30pm, got him gutted and cut up and left him at 5:30pm, got back to the camper at 11pm. Hiked back in at 8 am with a horse and got back out at 8:30pm. Very thankful for family!

yeah it was a blues bull. Going down maybe like stealing but the spots with snow and falling Down a lot sure sucked. Then the rest of the hike OS all up hill!
