K and k tripods  the early models had some problems with pivot ball but they changed the style of ball and I have had no issues since.

The bog pod might be worth a look for your needs.

What is your budget??

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Just want to follow along and see what you come up with.  I have heard the outsdoorsman tripods are nice with their pistol grip head.  But I havent laid my hands on one yet....

I've got an outdoorsman medium tripod with pistol grip head.  Best hunting tripod made IMO.   My only gripe with the pistol grip is that my big 80MM spotter is a little too heavy for it.  To eliminate this, I am purchasing another medium tripod with the outdoorsman fluid head later this month  :chuckle:

I've got the same set up and love it. I also use it with an 80mm spotter. You might want to consider the Jim White pan head if you're looking for something different!

Hmmm...I also have an 80mm Swaro spotter that I use with a Slik carbon tripod (PRO 624 CF).  I have a fluid tripod head (totally slipping my mind on what it is) but it's not very good and I'm looking to upgrade - it slips quite a bit and maybe the glass is a bit heavy.  Thinking about a new head and am considering the Jim White as well as the Outdoorsman's "standard" pan head.
