Smith and Wesson 44 mag 629 classic
« on: April 13, 2012, 07:44:47 PM »
Lately i've been noticing a small rattleing coming from my pistol. Sounds like it is directly in front of the hammer. Is this normal? could it be the Hammer block that is moving back and forth??

If you are not use to taking it apart take it to a smith. I would pull the grips off and see if you can notice anything out of whack. Does not sound like it it something normal and should probably be addressed before a major malfunctions occurs.

Everything i've read on the internet says its common for the smith and wesson. It better be because I just got it a few months ago and have maybe put 20 rounds thru it.

None of my smiths have a rattle to them, but I do not own a 629 classic. I can't stand rattles so I would be taking it apart to get it fixed, if it was possible.
