My daughters first turkey hunt
« on: April 22, 2012, 11:55:24 PM »
Well was a proud dad today my 8 year olds first turkey hunt went pretty well.   She actually shot at her first bird.  She might have hit it but I backed her up as he was trying to get away.  We had a great trip didnt even bother her to be stuck in the woods for 2 hours  when the transmission went out of the my buddies truck.   I was trying to get her to shoot a second time but she was having a hard time getting on him as he ran behind us.  It was fun watching her go through all the emotions in the blind and try to get that perfect shot.   Next time I need to pack a seat for her it was really hard for to shoot through the window of the blind.   She was to short to see from her knees and to tall to stand to shoot thru the small side window.  next time Ill pack in a chair.

That is awesome, sounds like it was a good experience for her.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Now that right there is nothing but cool... Congrats!!!!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
