Last year I was fishing with some guys down by st. helens and they had a fish in the net at the side of the boat. It was a native and they were trying to get the hook out of it. A big ass sea lion came up from below and whacked the fish in the net and about got the guys hands!

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

I was back down there like a week and a half later and the boat next to us got hooked up. It was a nice fish and it had been slow. I had not been around the seals much but the drag started screaming and the guy starts yelling there is a seal on it. Sure as *censored* it snaps off. He was pissed! Like anyone would be. The funny part was about a minute later this seal starts breaking the surface and splashing and going nuts. The guy picks up a pair of bino's and the seal had got the quick stuck in his face and one of the hooks looked to be in his eye ball!

The word is NATIVE :chuckle: I don't know about oregon but washington you are not supposed to bring nates out of the water when you can't keep them.
