  • Sturgeon Time Yet????
Wow, went up yesterday to start the OS season off.  Looking for my normal landmarks, oh where is it?  It is gone, a few small bushes/trees at the upper edge is all that is left.  That was a pretty fair sized island with decent sized trees on it, washed away and underwater... :yike:  Be careful on the down side of the island as surely there will be some serious snags and dead falls just under water...   Fishing was bad, just a few shakers, but Robo-Son got his first, no more Sturgeon Virgin.....  He was a happy kid for sure.  I will state- never seen a 8 year old hang all day without complaint, 10 hrs of fishing/boredom and he hung like a champ...  That was after travel half the night from PA to Washougal too.....  Surely Robodad will post that cheesy smile of Robo-Son....  Good time, just no OS or OS take downs...  Water level 28 foot.  I will not return till it goes back to atleast 20-21, might be awhile this year.  Last year think it went all the way to 33..

Good for you for getting a first under the belt for Roboson!

I am always amazed at the changes I see on rivers.

Way to go guy's, it's always a blast to catch something. Thanks for the invite Mike, but I had the family to take out this weekend. We ended up in Longview for the weekend. Launched on the Oregon side and fished the backwater sloughs. Caught a few undersized fish, it was a fun day. I hope to get out there with you when the OS fish are in and the water level is right.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
