AWESOME! Way to go! Bigger than my first bear! (Oops, maybe I shouldn't say that... but it's true!) Hope to hear the story soon!

Looks like a proud papa!  Congrats on the nice start.  It's great to see the young people out hunting and enjoying the great outdoors.

GREAT job, I've been looking for a bear that color. Going to get it tanned up? Good luck on his second.  :hello:
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Congrats to you and your son, looks like a good time was had!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

we were glassing a clear cut  looking for a couple hundred pounder we had been seeing and this fella jumped up on a stump below us for a look around. we tried to get situated for a shot and he hopped back down. it was a 20 minute game of hide and seek before he stepped out into the open for a  clear shot. one shot behind the front shoulder and it was over, he's shooting a remington 788 in .243.

Proof that shot placement is 90%...  Well done to him.
