no,most people in the areas you'd be parking are good people.unless you happen to have a quad or motorcycle as your vehicle..and you go in six or seven miles and then park it...then gas lines get cut and tires magically go flat.. :chuckle:

Friends of mine went up a trail at Greenwater for an overnight camp trip & had their rear window broken in and truck contents stolen.  The next weekend he went with a different friend and drove his truck since my buddies wasn't fixed yet. Needless to say the rear window on that truck also got broken in at the trail head.  I would not ever leave a vehicle, best to get dropped off. Mike

It would depend on witch trail head you are leaving your vehicle at. Many ares you will have not problem but many have lots of problems at  :dunno:

And as for washelkhunters comment   :yike:  there was no reason to go there on this thread  :bdid:

as far as the original thread goes, i have never had a problem parking and leaving my vehicle alone. it would be awesome to get dropped off but thats not very practical if you live along ways, or if you need to come out and have a vehicle ready on short notice.

I have a pre-printed note I stick in the window.

It reads:

"Dad, I'm just up the hill where I can see the truck. I will come down when I see you back at the truck"

I have sat way up on a hill where I could see our truck and watched people stop next to it, read the note and haul butt.  :chuckle:
