We have a Starling "issue" that needs corrected, and I have a question that I just can't seem to find an answer to. The state of Washington used to reimburse private individuals for the cost of the supplies, (bait and chicken wire, etc.) when it was used for Starling control[/color]. This has been several years ago and I can't seem to recall which department was in charge of it. I do remember that they wouldn't pay for any supplies other than those used to trap the birds. The euthanization cost was on the individual. (In other words they wouldn't buy my kids' 22 shells). Any and all information is greatly appreciated.
My kid had a neighbor that worked for the gov't and went out on night shoots for starlings. I think he said it was with the Dept. of Agriculture. Not 100% sure on that but it sure rings a bell. Maybe you could give them a call.
