Put in for the units with big numbers of cows tags.   That's where the elk density is higher than they want.

So it's decision time. I have an eastside rifle and live in Yakima. I have never had a shot at an elk and looking for a first. What Yakima unit does everybody favorite.

You live in Yakima and you're asking us where the elk are.  I guess if you don't know where elk are or where to put in I should just stay home.

There aren’t any elk anywhere near Yakima.  Try up around Spokane; I hear they have some elk.

You probably have some of the best elk hunting in the state right in your back yard.  Get out and scout look at draw odd and numbers and find out what's the best hunt for you.
