Ground Blinds
« on: May 18, 2012, 12:27:08 PM »
I was wondering what you all thing is a good all around ground blind.  I have a Ameristep G30.  I have shot a few turkey's out of it with my shotgun but using by bow is a little difficult.  I can only shot my bow out of the corner windows.  Here is a link to the blind http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=MC10305.  That doesn't leave me a lot of shooting room.  The bigger windows are to high to shoot a bow sitting down and I can't stand up being that I am 6'1" and the blind is only 64" tall.  I am looking at the Primos Club XL, the True Timber Pentangon and the Primos Ground Max The Escape blinds.  What do you all think and what do you use, if you use one at all.

I have a double bull dark horse that I really like. Very adjustable windows on 180 degrees. Very heavy and quiet material as well. Dark inside also.

I have a trekker blind and love it.  ONly have had one bad expierence, and that was due to my misunderstanding of horses and there behaviors :bdid: :bdid:  For rifle hunting or shotgun I love them, for bow hunting it makes the draw back a little hard.  I always seem to rub one end of my bow on something loud :bash:

I am looking at the double bull blind.  The trekker would never work for me.  I am a pretty big guy.

Cabelas has an online sale of the Double Bull right now, instead of $299, they have it on sale for $239.  I finally bought one.  LOVE IT!

I have an ameristep bone collector ground blind.  It works pretty good.  Ive successfully bow hunted out of it with myslef and a buddy.  both of us are pretty good size too.  their isnt a ton of room to spare.  I only payed $160, that was the best part.  there are def better ones out there, but for the price this one is hard to beat.
