Why would you feel "dirty?"  I've been paying money for the chance of drawing special hunts since about 1988. That's 24 years. I have never once regretted it. Have drawn some pretty good hunts too so it's been well worth it.
He's just commenting on how much they rape us now on the prices, I think we have some pretty incredible hunts in our state. It's just the fact that because we are residents I think most of us feel it's getting a little bit expensive to put in for the special hunts. I think bobcat works for fish and game because of the support he continually gives them...??? :chuckle: It's all good bobcat, just giving you crap.

Dam All the OIL's in 6 years. I have been puting in for elk since 1993, i drew a cow tag in 93. And i missed a few years while in the Navy. I have 14 points and still looking at nothing. Hope to see selected, i will be hunting bulls in the rut. But if not oh well. Always next year.

:yeah:
I drew goat, sheep and moose in 6 years. I still put in for desert deer with lots of points, also elk. Waiting for results is fun.
There is nothing much to hunt this time of year. The lakes I fish are still ice covered. My wife has a 2 page honey do list.
Then there are the raffles. They are fun too.

WOW! 6 years! I have 15 points for everything and I can't even draw a decent deer tag. That is what I hate about our system. All I would ever like is one decent tag.

No I've got my complaints too, with the DFW, but I'm sure not going to complain about something that I buy that is totally voluntary. If I wanted to hunt for cheap I'd buy a deer tag and nothing else. I complained plenty when they came up with all the ridiculous new categories two years ago. That is still my biggest gripe  I've got with the DFW. But, some hunters actually like the extra categories.  :o

Application season and waiting on the draws is my second most favorite time of the year, right after hunting season.

Took me eight years to finally get a bull permit. Hoping for deer this year!  I haven't researched it but does anyone know how many applicants there were for multi deer permits this year?  I drew two years in a row and feel like everyone that applied got one.

Based on the last couple years they allowed more permits than they had applicants so the way you feel is logical.

I hope I draw that tag w 0 points.  As a new hunter I could reap the rewards of wdfw's system.  With all the 15 pointers I keep hearing you would think I'd be worried.  I'm to stubborn for that.  Good luck on the draw everyone!

Yeah, can't draw anything with 0 points.  If you have 0 points, it means you didn't apply.  If you apply you have a point.
