East klickitat Youth tag
« on: June 09, 2012, 03:12:52 PM »
My cousin drew this tag and i know people hate giving info about units when people draw them and have never hunted them but I was wondering if anyone has experience in this unit? We will be taking a couple scouting trips over there during july and august, but I was wondering if anyone had any info/Pictures?success stories about this unit. Im excited to be the pack mule and camera man for my little cousin.

There is plenty of pics and stories in here about east klickitat.

Does he have one of the super late doe tags? or a normal doe tag? Or the any buck tag?

I do guided hunts in the east klickitat unit. A lot of private ground makes up the majority of the unit. There is some school land sections that a guy can get to about half are landlocked.

In laws live there and it is mostly private, as said earlier.  You should start knocking on doors and asking for permission.  Heck if Carpsniper guides maybe you should find out what his rates are.  There are some really respectable deer in that unit.  I also know that landowners are cracking down on poachers / road hunters taht just shoot, throw in bed of truck and drive.  The Game Officer out there is awfully busy from what I hear durring hunting season.  Good luck and hope she bags a nice deer.  Can't wait to see pics!!!
