What happened to the HuntWa fishing derby??
« on: August 09, 2008, 03:48:25 PM »
I was curious to see if the HuntWA fishing derby is going to go on or not... Kind of lost track and forgot to tell you the truth.... Curious to see what the status is or updates?

Didn't someone post something about having to register with the state etc and that caused a bail out on all counts? BTW no pun intended hahahahaha.

Didn't forget, was pondering spending my free time doing other things (like more fishing for one!), then I realized how many good people I'd miss shooting the crap with, so I'll check in now and then. We were all set to go, but Jackelope got tied up and then some more worthy events came along like the events for Josh, didn't feel right to compete with those. Fishing has been fairly poor anyways, I went by the hatchery today and not one fish was at the ladder, they are just not here yet. The rain should help. This is the week I would have been in Canada fishing, first time in four years we're not going. The guys emailed, they got a 31# the first day.

The reports in the sound or rivers haven't given me a reason to stop or even slow down on Sturgeon Fishing yet.........  But, I am a bit still on the spoiled side and have a couple years to get it out of my system, before Salmon is everything again...
