Idaho Spring Chinook
« on: June 01, 2012, 03:32:52 PM »
I know that this is a Washington board but my guess is some of the members do venture over to the Clearwater.

Idaho fish and game has announced that starting June 2nd the bag limit on spring Chinook will be only 1 adult Spring Chinook instead to 2 to try and prolong the season! Fishing has been really good and lots of fish are being caught!

Man sure would love to get into that. Almost wish they would have tried that approach over here on the Snake. Good luck and tight lines

Those two boys are some of the best kids and they are always excited to get out and do some fishing! They are a couple of pretty good fisherman as well! They had no problems back bouncing 20 ounces of lead!

Well........NO FISH for me or the 2 other friends that went! The river had came up i heard so maybe that had something to do with it, Fished friday  and  saturday with only one hooked but it spit the hook. We saw a few fish caught and released(wild) but it was pretty slow(for us and people around us). Drove up river from orofino 30-40 miles and saw lots of boats and fishermen but still not much action, It rained then it poured!! We had our raingear and continued fishing but couldnt make them bite! Met some nice folks, and some not so nice folks! It amazes me the attitude some people get while out doing something most of us love to do.  :bash: :dunno: :dunno:      Found out my air mattress does not hold air for more than 10 minutes! Well my friend found out!!! :chuckle: :chuckle: I let him use it and I got the bed!!  :chuckle: :sry: :chuckle:  He tossed and turned all night and before 3am decided that if he wasent sleeping no one was!! :chuckle: Had some good times and good laughs, no fish but will be back to try it agian hopefully soon. If anyone is still doing good down there let me know, I need some redemption!

Ya i will be back to try it again! I brought some buddies that were new to chinook fishing, the rain and lack of willing takers proved to be a bit much for them, :chuckle: so i didnt get to fish as much as i would have liked to! They said "next time we get a real guide" :chuckle: If so i know who to book them with!
