Mike:

Any scope will work on your ML.  You don’t need an expensive one as your range is limited.  A good .22 scope works great.  I’ve used the Simpson .22 mag on mine with good results.

A couple things that you need to know:
•   You can’t hunt in the ML season with a scope unless you get a waiver and you need really bad vision to qualify.
•   The scope on your Knight mounts above the breach plug and it will get fouled from the gases venting from the nipple when the rifle is fired.  It will get dirty very quickly around the mid section of the scope.

Yes -

 5.   Muzzleloading firearms used during a
modern firearm season are not required
to meet ignition, sight, or double barrel
restrictions.

You can use a regualr scope on a ML - you might have to make a scope bra for it to keep from burning the bottom of the from ignition on your Wolverine.  You can see a home made bra on this scope.

Here is a pattern that might help

My choices of scope..

#1 Bushnell 3x9-40 600 DOA ( they make a 250 DOA but I prefer the 600 DOA
#2 Leupold 3x9-40 Ultimate Slam

but in all honesty there are a lot of good scopes out there...
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
