Horn Hunter Full Curl
« on: June 07, 2012, 02:22:34 PM »
Anyone have the Horn Hunter Full Curl system?  What are your thoughts on the pack? I was talking to Corey at XXX archery and he has just about got me sold on the pack.  While there he loaded the pack up with about 35lbs for me to try out, and it felt pretty good.  I did have a couple of concerns in regards to its ability to ventilate the back, seemed like it could get pretty warm on the old back?  Also was curious about its ability to get to gear with ease with the way the sides wrap around it like a taco it seemed like it could be a little difficult.   Hope someone out there could lend some insight before I pull the trigger.   Thanks! Brian

I have one and like it a lot. It isn't perfect but it works for me. I generally leave the big bag in the tent after I've set up camp and just use the little bag the rest of the time which is a little smaller than I was used to. It is not bad to get to your gear. It does get warm on my back tho, and the hip straps take a little bit to break in they are a little stiff. But over all I really like it and was money well spent.

Thanks Jody, good info.  Have you packed any animals out with it yet?

No not yet. But have loaded it up with a 100lbs and it handled it just fine.
