Ok....bear with me, I am on a phone.

I had watched this bear and a larger black boar in an area for a few weeks. I pooched a setup on the big black one when my wife came with me on our first ever hunt together (after 10 years together). I moved us up to a high ridge to see if we could catch a glimpse of him again and when I did spot it, I see this glowing blonde bear in the distance. It sauntered in to about 400yds, but it was 8:30pm and I had to work the next day 125 miles away.....so it walked. The whole trip home my wife expressed how sad she was that we could not take the blonde bear. BAM! Working 6 tens......hmm? I get one day to pull it off, so I headed to my high ridge last night after work and at 6:45 I see both bears working twards me. I make a setup and wait.....nothing. I rip on my squeaker a couple times and wait.....nothing. it is raining like god hates me at this point. I get up to peek around and figure I am burnt. Suddenly the big boar crosses in front of me at about 40 yards.....he hits the brush......safe. I again figure I am burnt when the blonde crosses about 20 FEET in front of me and turns twards me as I am pulling my 375h&h up......I see mist fly and this bear flat hits the dirt. I think the 270gr tsx (yes bh, I said tsx) is still traveling through no name peak. I take up defense and watch to make sure the black is gone and after 20 minutes feel pretty safe. The rain let's up long enough to snap a few pics with my phone and then I am on the working end of this deal. I wish I would have shot some digiscope pics of this bear, it flat glows on a green mountain. It is not a particularly big bear, in fact kind of a Dink compared to my average, but I have never taken a more beautiful bear....and it made my wife happy.

Save the where questions.
