Ugliest call in it's class by far!  And just may be the most effective.

If I could only carry one cow call other than a diaphram it would be Berry's Sleazy.  Only problem I have found with it is it's small, my eyesight ain't what it used to be and I tend to lose them.  Buy three at a time - they're cheap! :chuckle:

I have stopped a many elk with them  They are a darn good call. A couple of good people too..I met Glen, and Chad at the Puyallup Sportsman Show quite sometime ago. Anyone who would stop what they were doing and teach Quick Draw and I how to properly use their call, and not let you go until you have it is tops in my book..

I always will have a sleazy hanging around my neck when I go elk hunting, don't care what season. It's also my go to predator call. I can get a really cheesy bugle out of it and a decent crow call. It's a little touchy on getting spitted up so if I'm bowhunting when I use it most I have two on the lanyard in case it spits up while working a bull. I bought a bunch of them a few years ago after Glen got in trouble in Idaho for poaching and I thought he might lose his business, but he survived. I use his diaghram calls but I try and use different brands every year. I use his triple black split reed, good bugle not the best cow. I prefer the blue primos palate plate for cow sounds.

I have had friends that have used the Berry sleazy with great success.  It's a good call.  I've used Glen's diaphrams for almost thirty years and love them.  As with any reed call, the chances for failure are higher than with a diaphram but if a guy keeps em clean, they'll perform just fine :)  I use a reed cow call to mix up my tones in conjunction with my Berry diaphram myself.  Best of luck!  RJ
