I still belong to PortVan (Portland/Vancouver) pointing dog club, even though I now live in Tacoma, and we use chukars, used to use quail (but they fly horribly), and once in a very great while we use hen pheasants for special occasions.

So where can I get some to train my dog. And do you just plant them or just let them go? I know chuckers like to group up. Any recommended trainers for a weimer?

My buddies son raised a couple hundred chukars for a senior project, they are of selling age right now.......... if you are interested he is up near bellingham the price is 9 bucks a bird which is the going rate everywhere, his birds are 4 months old. PM me for his super secret Cell number.............  As far as a Weim trainer......... R.J. Marquart, trains em all no matter the breed.

Are you referring to BDC or actual AF/AKC championships?  Looks like your referring  to BDC.  I have very little knowledge other then what I've seen on TV.
