I dont doubt they are up there, just strange that I didnt run into them or hear them shoot with the amount of deer they took.

I talked with my dad and he was up there today, and ran across a dead buck. Said it was a 4 point with a spread in the lower 20" range shot in the neck with a blood trail that looked to be about 60 yards. Fog was thick in there yesterday, dont know if someone shot and thougth they might have missed? :dunno: I'll be up there tomorrow and grab a pic of it, I guess it was still untouched, no coyotes or birds  had gotten to it yet.

On 11/13 &11/14 two groups of Yakimas were on Tyee area ---had 7 four points in back of 2 trucks. Personally saw 4 of the bucks. Spent some time in the unit on the Lake Wen side, seen a couple real big bucks.

If that is true, that's complete *censored*.  It's no secret there will be some tribal "hunting" in the winter,  but have the decency to maybe let permit holders who wait a number of years to draw hunt before you go up there and start dropping bucks!!  The permit guys have 20 days, tribal guys have how many months?!

Good luck to your dad golfguy, hope he finds the buck he wants!

got in the stand before light. around 6 50ish a forked horn stepped out. i let him walk. then at about 7 30 a head of 30 elk walked RIGHT UNDER my stand including a big 6x6 my heart was pounding in my head!!! i decided to hit another spot i beat the brush there for a couple hours. when i was finally walking out i got a cramp in my leg so i kneeled down, when it went away i got up when i looked forward about 270-280 yards out i saw the Biggest bodied buck of my life i would honestly say he was pushing 300 live weight looked like a monster old regressed 2  :hunter: i had only a split second before he was across the road i threw up got the vitals in sight and squeezed one off! i began to run up there. when i got to where he was there was no blood fur or anything!!  :bash: i missed  :chuckle: i looked for 3 hours and followed his tracks forever. im sure i shot over him when he stepped down in the ditch.  :dunno: oh well i have 3 more days to try again.
"It aint about how hard you hit. Its about how hard you can hit and keep moving forward! how much you can take and keep moving forward!!

I ran into another member at Hancock Kapowsin just after his wife shot a real nice buck. I will let him post if he wants to. The bucks neck was bigger around than the body and it had a big body.

In hancock today, up by the park boundry and didn't see a single deer all day. The snow was very icy and loud, I will try lower elevations tomorrow. I let a 4x4 go the last day of reg season, I sure hope I don't regret it.
