LAST DAY MONTANA BUCK
« on: December 06, 2012, 12:38:20 PM »
Took my son on a "Squirrel Hunt" after school and found this guy chasing some does. It was great having my 6 year old with me and watching the whole thing. This buck had a bout 4 does and 3 other bucks he was trying to keep off of the His does. We had to do a little belly crawling, but managed to get about an 80 yd shot on him. Morgan got to give him the poke with his BB gun to make sure he was down.

Pretty special hunt for me, having my little buddy with me.

Morgan was a little disappointed that he did not get to shoot first and kill the buck all by himself :chuckle: :chuckle:.
Managed to get the whole family in on getting him out and taken care of. This is my first buck as Montana resident.

Nothing better than Family and the great outdoors!!!

Great stuff right there. Congrats. That is what this site should be all about.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
