I would like to see that with the water jug a bit further away from the wall as most occupants of the house will not be up against it.  It is nice to know if an assailant is up against the wall you may still have some options with birdshot.  I'd still be more comfortable with birdshot in a home invasion than buck shot if I had children in the house.
Yeah, when I was setting this up I didn't think it would go through.  Based on what people had said about 30 feet, I though it would go through one side and bounce off kind of like 5.56 does to a cinder block.  How far do you think I should put the "person" from the wall?

I have a few birdshot followed by some slugs.  I also like to keep a loaded AR right next to it so I have options.

Probably not too far since most beds and cribs are located rather close to a wall.  But would be interesting to see how 3 to 4 feet changes things. :dunno:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Bottom line is, if you are going to shoot someone in your home, make sure you kill him.  If he lives, he WILL sue you.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Hell at 15 ft a target load would be fatal. In my option 3"mags kick hard in my pa-459. Makes it more difficult to make a good follow up shot plus those big pellets will fly threw your walls.  #6 or #4 would be plenty imo

I'd rather have 2 3/4 4's over a slug . no need for a slug in a home defence situation . if you have a child in the house you may want to cocider melomien on the bedroom walls plus its easy to clean up the crayon marks .

I have a bunch of old 2 3/4" lead BB.. fairly effective at close range..  small shot does reduce wall penetration, but any 12 ga load will penetrate sheetrock walls. I believe centurion still makes the buck and ball load..

I've got a Hawk (Remington 870 knock off) 12 gauge loaded with buckshot.  I think that'll do nicely in case its needed.

In all honesty, If you can get your hands on them. Not sure if they are legal in this state, but BOLO rounds would be the most lethal. Theyre made to destroy destroy destroy.

This?

Testing Shotgun MINISLUGS and BOLO Rounds (slow motion)
Thats a variation of home made ones but they have official ones I posted in that video. No Idea where you would get them though. It will grab bones and physically rip them out of your body if not break them.
