I scan a lot with my binos if a coyote hasn't showed up in the first 7 minutes. I see a lot hang up and just sit down and watch for a while before they come in or leave.

The Ranger is far better than the bushnells and the nikons i have used in the past. Its not a Leica or Swaro but it works good to 400 to 500 with a minimal target. On perfect days it will pick up a deer at 700. For the price i am really happy with it. It does not work when snowing i have found out. It will not range past 20 yards if there are snowflakes in the air. With a big target it will range past 1000 yards

I would say that's pretty good since my 1000 leupold really struggles to get 900 to 1000!

I'm planning on it. I think my brother will come and maybe my brother-in-law.

Very nice shooting, its awsome aint it...my longest was 710 yards with my tricked out 7mm-08 using an RF of course. My next longest was nearly half that.  >:(

Nice shot! We should still try get out there one of these weekends.
I'm all for it. Our calves are starting to drop so they will be here for sure.

How do you hunt around cows that are calfing... the land owner that I hunt for is having issues with that but im trying to figure out how to search them out... Do you pick a spot and wait it out all day or go dawn and at dusk?

When i can, i wait for the sun to come up and just watch. Or i call close to where the cows are. Morning has always been better for me than in the evening.
