Going to be an early rut
« on: June 06, 2013, 06:20:59 AM »
found this out checking cams..I think the rut is going to be early due to the amount of moisture in the air and the perpendicular angle of the moon to the earths surface and the cold snap that will hit in Sept..get ready guys early muzzy guys will be smack in the middle of the rut this year!!!

I heard a cougar yowling in the woods last weekend.  The cougar rut is just around the corner as well

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Fawns are dropping and I saw a buck chasing a doe the other day. Could even catch part of the rut in the early archery season.  :chuckle:

Had to cut my golf game short last night because the bucks were chasin' does all over the fairways.  My cursing and yelling must have sounded like a snort wheeze too, because a big ol' boy came barreling into the sand trap I was in and was looking for a fight.  Rut is definitely on right now

I was just in the rut the other day... :dunno:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

A lot of the cows around here are already bred.  I think that we are going to see a second or third rut in August-October.

Yeah, backdoor ruts make for a low fawn count the next year unforunately.  :bash:
