Broken rest!! Thank you RIPCORD!!!
« on: September 24, 2013, 09:43:21 PM »
Well just before the season opener I was shooting great, 40 yards no problem. Move back to 50- bullseyes! Started getting cocky with my hunting partners and then  :yike: I can hear a  different noise and shooting 12 inches high 4 shots in a row! :yike: I started getting fletching contact.  To the shop I go. Dropped my bow off for 3 long long days, pick it up says its all good, he moved the rest and new string to the dropaway. Sight in faily quickly and all is well. Few dozen shots and its off to elk camp. No elk. :bash: Day 5 leave elk camp  head home for the afternoon and Shoot shoot shoot and then  :yike: I hear the  noise and shooting a foot high at 40 yards again!!!!! This cannot be happening now!!!! Ran to the shop and he looked at it for about ten seconds and said "your getting a new free rest" The spring on my ripcord had failed and was not falling away nearly fast enough. Install the new rest and some more sighting in and im back in the woods.

Ripcord and Whitetail Plus both get a big thumbs up from me
Great service from them both and will use them both in the future thanks again.

Both are top choices for service IMO.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

If you are tired of fixing rests you might want to try a trophy taker.  I have been shooting them for the past ten years and have had zero issues with them.  First one was a shakey hunter and latest is the smack down pro.

Sounds like me. Two days before deer season, my bow string shows signs of age. Its frayed and worn and about five strands are broken. I call the pro shop and they tell me to not shoot it again until it has a new string on it. Ok... Great. :bash: So two days later and I have a new string, missing opening day, but getting the second.
Then, two weeks into the season, I fall while hunting and my sight breaks! So I hurry to Cabelas and buy one that is all aluminum instead of the carbon fiber junk and I have to re-tune my bow AGAIN!! Some season. But second season coming up and I have a better string and a better sight. Nothing can go wrong! Or can it? It probably will... :bash: :(

 :yeah:

Trophy takers are the only rest for me too.
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?
