Seems to me like you are camera challenged while rafting    isn't that 2 digital cameras into the drink recently?

Maybe it is the phone camera, but I was thinking there would be way more color in the trees down there this time of year.

If I remember right the deep forests of southern MO are not high density deer regions like the agricultural areas surrounding and up north???

Still all in all, no people for a solid week, on a river with a roofless potty.....Priceless

Yes Cameras 0 Rivers 2!  One cost about $1000, this one was about $60. 
Actually the foliage was outstanding, lost of color!!!
Yep, much lower deer densities, but I did expect a little more activity, but the daytime temps were mid 60s sunny and breezy....but still found very few rubs and even fewer scrapes.

Yes, my boat can haul 1050 pounds of gear.

Nope, I didn't loose the first one, it was my wife. 

I actually had to row quite a bit on the trip out due to wind.  The cataraft catches a lot of wind and if it's a headwind it can be a real pain on a river with little current such as this one.

That's a really cool area.  We used to float the Eleven Point during the summers when I lived there.  Of course, our gear consisted of mass quantities of beer and the critters we were watching were of the female human variety.

How do you get away without paying Non-Res. license fees?

Missouri allows non-residents, who are 60% or more service connected vets, to purchase tags at resident prices.  If you carry your VA letter with you, you don't even need to buy a fishing license or a small game license.
