NY State Safe Act compliant AR15's
« on: February 13, 2014, 06:41:57 PM »
My buddy sent me a pic of what he had to do to his AR's to keep them legally unregistered in NY. They can only have 1 "military rifle attribute". He went with a detachable mag. Pistol grips, forward pistol grip, flash suppressor, bayonet lug, etc are what they consider military rifle attributes. You can't buy them or sell them. You can hand them down to your kids but only 1 generation legally then they either have to be destroyed or sold out of state.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Whoa! Those are ugly guns. They look more goofy than scary. I guess that meets the intent of the law. They don't want anyone to have any scary looking guns. That would just be bad.

Those fools got what they voted for! Hopefully this wakes them up!  :bash:

The thing that worries me is someone with a Mod 94, revolver  and skills going off in a public place.

That would be an eye opener

This makes me so mad! I am so happy I got out of NY before they started doing all of this.

I read that the younger generation seems to like these new stocks because they think it makes the gun look futuristic.
